Gibb's Farm, Karatu, Tanzania

You know, the best meal I ever had was in Tanzania, on Gibb's Farm, off Lake Manyara. They grow the vegetables and fruit in the backyard, and it's organic. It was so healthy I would eat myself to death there. Unbelievable.

The terraced farm Gibb's Farm - WOW! What can I say?? We don't think our taste buds will ever be happy with anything else!! Organic food, over 90% grown there. Nice to have a CHOICE of veggie food too. Some good Guides and walks with lots of other options we didn't even take up as it was so nice to relax in the beautiful surroundings. ALL the staff were brilliant - the attention to detail was noticable with everybody taking responsibility for ensuring that everything was perfect. The cottage itself was complete luxury - I really didn't think I'd spend my most luxurious time of my life in Africa, but it would be hard to beat Gibb's Farm! Heidi & Ray April 2008
